SABER ™:  Strategic Assessment of Barriers to Entry Report

This Barriers to Entry document summarizes the Regulatory, Technological, Competitive, Market, Management, Supply Chain, and Financial Barriers facing emerging science-based ventures. Includes high level tactics to overcome, mitigate, and neutralize the threats limiting new market introductions of breakthrough innovation. Approx. 3-4 pages.

Targeted Outcomes™

Targeted Outcomes can derive from a SCAN assessment. They focus on enabling an analysis of a specific, intended critical need or requirement that can bridge the transition to market. This is a collaborative effort between the company and Larta to accomplish a tangible outcome, including a timeline with specific milestones, as well as an estimated date for completion. Components include: Executive Summary, Outcome Proposal, Work Plan, Quad Chart/Virtual Showcase and Keywords, and Road to a Deal™ Presentation.

Commercialization Strategy Toolkit (CST) ™

The CST provides a comprehensive set of action-oriented and practical products for high growth technology companies to concisely articulate their gaps, requirements & competitive advantage, and then put that into practice with customer-facing documents. Components include: SCAN ™, Executive Summary, Competitive Matrix, Work Plan, Quad Chart/Virtual Showcase and Keywords, Road to a Deal™ Presentation, and 18-Month Commercialization Roadmap. The Roadmap is a prioritized a list of important strategies, accompanying tasks, and resulting milestones with a concrete timeline looking forward over the 18 months.  The Roadmap will likely change dynamically based on progress during the engagement. It includes the budgetary allocations necessary to accomplish the identified tasks, parsed out by specific periods. The Roadmap is useful in downstream managing and tracking of commercialization progress and outcomes.

Road to a Deal™

The Road to a Deal ™ is a brief, compelling roadshow presentation can be customized for specific targeted groups or a stand-alone general-purpose presentation. The objective of the document is to “pitch” the company to potential investors, strategic partners, licensees, customers, or other parties. It provides a glimpse of your company & value proposition to attract the interest of a targeted audience at private meetings or at pitch events such as investment forums, conferences, or trade shows.

ComPlan™

The ComPlan™ is a market-tested commercialization plan that demonstrates market and management competence, instills confidence, sets expectations and increases chances of success. It conveys that the entrepreneur/founder is in a position to pursue commercial applications of the R&D. The Larta subject matter expert works iteratively with the entrepreneur to develop, test, and validate the ComPlan, covering market opportunity, company and team, competition and IP, and finance and revenue model. The final product serves as a guide for science-based ventures and also positions Phase I SBIR awardees for Phase II Success.

Feed Forward™ Sessions

FeedForward™ Sessions are virtual or face-to-face, private working meetings for entrepreneurs to present their 18-Month Commercialization Roadmap (Strategic Action Plan) to a group of external stakeholders and industry experts who provide constructive feedback and validate go-to-market strategies. During the FeedForward™ Sessions, subject matter specialists, customers, partners, capital providers and other experts who have been specifically invited will provide objective and frank feedback on your commercialization opportunity and strategy (as presented) including possible suggestions and additional options. This is a unique opportunity to meet and network with industry experts, expand contact networks. FeedForward™ Sessions are designed to be convenient for entrepreneurs and cultivate local/regional networking.

Close Out Webinars ™

The Close Out Webinar is a virtual session where entrepreneurs have the opportunity to provide agency program managers/program sponsors, their assigned Larta Principal Advisor, Larta staff, and other advisors with a “live” recap of the company’s progress at the end of a program. The primary focus is to present the feedback received from the program, demonstrate accomplishments in the program, the impact the program had on overall commercialization efforts, and next steps/goals. The meeting is informal and lasts approximately 30 minutes.
