Lou Scarmoutzos

As a Principal Advisor in Larta’s Commercialization Assistance Programs, Lou works extensively with Larta life sciences entrepreneurs. He is an expert in intellectual property, market strategy and strategic business planning. Lou has worked extensively with startups and established companies in the area of new venture creation, business development, technology commercialization and equity funding.

Lou is also President and Founder of MVS Solutions, Inc., a consulting company, and President & CEO of Kollodis BioSciences, Inc., a startup biotech company. He serves as a board member and advisor to several small companies, is an author of numerous peer-reviewed technical and non-technical articles and holds several US and international patents. He also actively writes a monthly column for BioExecutive International.

Lou received a BS cum laude in Chemistry from Boston College, a PhD summa cum laude in Physical Organic Chemistry from the Pennsylvania State University and was a Post Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Harvard University. His continuing education includes pharmacology, quality systems, management, entrepreneurship and intellectual property.
