Farida Fotouhi

Farida Fotouhi is President of Reality2, a marketing, branding, and creative agency she founded to help clients address new realities in the business environment. She has spent 30 years working with clients ranging from major national brands to start-ups, in just about every business category from cleantech to consumer goods.

Reality2 takes a reality-based approach to helping companies define what they stand for (branding) and what they should say to whom (positioning strategy). Then the firm executes unified programs based on this strategy. Program elements can include corporate image, website, sales literature, presentations, trade show displays, videos, and ad campaigns in all media. Reality2 has an “Early Stage Branding” practice for companies who are commercializing new technologies. It gives them the tools to attract prospective partners, licensees, investors, and customers. Farida has expertise in marketing technologies in the sectors of Information Technology, Software-as-a-Service, Life Sciences, Energy, Aerospace, Agriculture, Logistics, and Education

Prior to Reality2, Farida was co-founder and CEO of Fotouhi Alonso Inc., which was one of LA’s top mid-sized advertising agencies for over 20 years. Fotouhi Alonso worked with clients such as Honda, the LA Department of Water & Power, the FX Network and Epson.

Farida was graduated cum laude from Middlebury College in Vermont. She lives in Mandeville Canyon, Los Angeles with her husband Mike Freehling, a corporate finance consultant. Her father was the first diplomat stationed in Hiroshima after the atomic bomb, and she has written a book about her childhood experiences there. Farida speaks Japanese, Portuguese, Hausa (a Nigerian dialect) and French. She is an avid equestrian and competes in show jumping events.
