An accomplished sales and marketing professional, Grant has spent the majority of the last twenty years working and traveling for large multi-national companies in a variety of roles.
A native of New Zealand, Grant studied mathematics and computer science at Auckland University before beginning his career in the transport industry, spending five years at DHL International in both operational and sales management positions.
In the late 1990s, Grant moved in to telecommunications, briefly working as a sales executive for a small communications company in New Zealand before moving across to Nokia where he would spend the next 13 years.
At Nokia, Grant’s roles included product concept planning, product marketing, business development, account management and sales competencies training. His Nokia career has seen him based in Auckland, San Diego and Miami and he has traveled extensively throughout Asia Pacific, Europe, North and South America.
Grant not only has a deep understanding of telecommunications and mobile technologies, but has gained valuable expertise in strategic planning, business development and product lifecycle management at the same time managing the complexities and nuances of time zones differences and cultural sensitivities.
Recently Grant took a sabbatical to travel, write and start a family and he now resides in San Diego, California with wife Elizabeth, twin daughters Gigi and Meg and dog George. Grant is currently researching for and writing two business books related to Sales (what is required to connect collaborate and co-create value with customers) and Leadership (principles of authentically leading people).
