Built and drove the AgChem/Biotech pipelines for resource use efficiency, yield and abiotic stress traits from conception to discovery to product development in an accelerated, efficient and cost-effective manner. Deep and broad technical expertise in crop and seed performance, yield and abiotic stress traits, phenotyping, and assay development under controlled environments and field conditions.

Dr Basra received his PhD from the Punjab Agricultural University in India, did postdoctoral research at Wageningen University in the Netherlands. He has been a Visiting Scientist at the University of Western Sydney Hawkesbury in Australia and the University of California, Davis.
Has over 15 years of industry experience including Monsanto and Syngenta. Recipient of coveted scientific awards and honors globally including Kidwai Memorial Prize by Indian Council of Agricultural Research, INSA Medal by Indian National Science Academy, Australian Sci & Tech portfolio achievement.
