As Larta Principal Advisor, Paul is an experienced energy industry professional with over 40 years of relevant experience who advises emerging and growth oriented technology centric firms regarding key managerial roles. Relevant business areas include the energy efficiency, renewable and alternative energy, power generation, refining, and enhanced oil recovery industries. He possesses extensive commercial experience and expertise in the areas of technology and new business development.
Most recently, Paul functioned as the Operation’s Manager for DNV GL’s commercial and industrial energy efficiency contract administration business with PPL Corporation. During his time as Operations Manager, his team delivered energy savings of over 370 GWh’s to the PPL grid. Prior to DNV GL, Paul served as Vice President of Business Development for OmniWind Energy Systems where he developed and implemented business commercialization strategies for OmniWind’s innovative wind turbine product portfolio.
Prior to OmniWind, Paul enjoyed a 30 year career with Air Products and Chemicals. During his tenure he managed the Profit and Loss (P&L) for several energy related businesses including the Landfill Gas Systems business where he was the General Manager. In addition to his P&L role, he was engaged in several new business development undertakings. As Business Development Manager, Paul managed teams responsible for creating Air Products’ strategy and new business development plans for various energy generation systems, including renewable energy. Earlier in his career, Paul managed several business development initiatives at Air Products aimed at incorporating the use of industrial gases into enhanced oil recovery, synthetic fuel, and cogeneration systems.
Paul received a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from Loyola University. Paul has published several papers related to the commercialization of new technology processes and holds 5 patents.
