Ron is a founder and strategic advisor at AESC. He has over 35 years of energy industry experience specializing in commercial/industrial energy efficiency, renewable energy, distributed generation and intelligent energy system technologies.
Before joining AESC, Ron was a Program Manager at SAIC where he was responsible for utility industry consulting services, energy market research, and energy technology assessment and demonstration. He began his career at San Diego Gas and Electric working in the gas turbine maintenance, power plant performance testing, gas operations and research & development departments. Currently, Ron is a member of the California Technical Forum. He previously served as the Chair of the CADER Technology Committee and was a member of the UC Irvine National Fuel Cell Research Center Technical Advisory Committee. Ron has also served as a member of the AESP California Chapter board, California Energy Commission’s Energy Innovations Small Grant Program Technical Review board and the California Manufacturing Technology Consultants board. He is currently a member of AEE, AESP, ASME and ASHRAE, and has published numerous articles covering distributed generation, intelligent energy systems, retro-commissioning, renewable energy and energy storage technologies.
Ron earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from San Diego State University. He is a licensed Professional Mechanical Engineer in the State of California, an AEE Distributed Generation Certified Professional and Certified Measurement & Verification Professional.
