Tien Bui is a Principal Advisor at Larta Institute. Tien has 20+ years of work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. She is a healthcare executive experienced in initiating strategic partnerships and commercial and clinical collaborations. She is an industry expert in developing go-to-market commercial plans by bridging science and data to successful product launches.
Tien is the Principal of Biozen Consulting, an independent practice that assists emerging life sciences companies and biopharma in bringing innovative therapeutics and technologies to market. Prior to consulting, Ms. Bui served as a member of the executive team at Monogram Biosciences, now a subsidiary of LabCorp, as Vice President of Sales and Marketing and Vice President of Medical Affairs & Education in virology and oncology. During her tenure at Monogram, Bui launched three new technologies, started the company’s first specialty sales force in virology and oncology, and oversaw all commercial functions, including payer relations, client services, medical marketing, sales, and clinical affairs and education. Before joining Monogram, Bui served in various commercial, health policy, and strategic product development roles at DuPont-Merck Pharmaceuticals (now Bristol Myers Squibb) from 1990 to 2000.
Tien was a co-founder and director of the Institute for Drug Resistance based at UMASS Medical School in Worcester, MA. www.drug-resistance.org. She served as a Board Chair for Asian Pacific Islander Wellness Center in San Francisco.
