We translate USDA’s investment in a wide range of applied agricultural technology projects into sustainable business enterprises. Supporting Phase II SBIR/STTR awardees, USDA-CATP is comprised of training seminars, individual mentoring and exposure to potential partner/investor networks within the agri-business sector. Participants develop a Commercialization Strategy Report (CSR). Participants generated contacts with prospective partners, term sheets, and deals. Learn more about this program here.

With a successful partnership in 2005, NIST awarded Larta a formal program in 2014: the NIST Technology Commercialization Assistance Program (TCAP) for its SBIR grantees. Using Larta’s customer-focused methodology and supplemented learning modules, NIST-TCAP is designed to help companies develop a flexible and realistic commercialization plan as part of their Phase II grant proposal, support their next level of development, fundraising activities, and strategic introductions. The program is designed to continue in Phase II for successful Phase II applicants, by putting the CP that was developed in Phase I to action. Phase II grantees will work on specific targeted outcome(s) to move forward through Phase II and beyond.
