Dr. Gordon spent twenty five years teaching undergraduate, Masters and Doctoral Degree Candidates and Post-doctoral Fellows; Research on blood coagulation in cancer, cancer procoagulant and pseudoxanthoma elasticum; and also Administration as Director of the Clinical Research Center Laboratory and the first Director of the BioMedical Technology Transfer Office at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. He was also the Editor for 2 international scientific journals and Vice President for Communications, Association of University Technology Transfer (AUTM)

Five years of Dr. Gordon's career was spent as the founding Director of the Technology Transfer Office at San Diego State University and Professor of Biology. This program served 55 faculty programs and achieved a growth greater than 5 fold during this period.

For three years he served as founding director of Office of Technology Transfer and Commercialization at CSU San Bernardino. After 3 years, this program had 48 client technologies and achieved a success rate of greater than 80% with these clients and these clients raised more than $75M from third-party peer reviewed funding or sales revenue.
