Larta & Southern
California Edison's IP Review Panels Program
Larta Institute, with the support of Southern California
Edison, has designed
an IP Review
Panels program that
will lead
Network T2 in the development and
implementation of IP Review Panels to act as centralized,
efficient means for Network T2 institutions to have their IP
expertly screened and analyzed for feasibility and business
applicability. The overall project objectives are to
measurably increase the rate of successful innovation
transferring from the Network T2 institutions to the market
(thereby generating jobs, innovation, and economic benefit
for the region) and to build a model for doing so that is
easily scalable to other regions, thereby pioneering
innovation even beyond the IP brought out of Network T2.
The project seeks to centralize an ongoing process for
rapidly and expertly assessing the feasibility of IP in the
combined Network T2 libraries, thereby generating for the
tech transfer offices a larger pipeline of diligently
reviewed IP.
