Series #5: Marketing, Pricing, and Your Competition
This workshop covers marketing fundamentals, defining and segmenting
the total addressable market, customer and competitive analysis,
and branding, and includes an exercise on pricing. Instructors will
be William D. Collins, a high tech executive turned angel investor
and mentor who is Vice President of Tech Coast Angels LA network;
Farida Fotouhi, CEO of Reality2, one of LAs foremost independent
advertising agencies; and Jerry Gallwas, who was part of the team
that founded and managed the growth of what became the clinical
diagnostic business of Beckman Instruments. These experts have a
wide range of experience in marketing, pricing, and competition,
and together will provide comprehensive instruction in the fundamentals
of marketing.

Successful Selling Skills and Tactics
Not all entrepreneurs are prepared for it, but the founder of a
company becomes the companys leading sales person. They may
not be selling product directly to customers, but they will be selling
the business concept to investors, management team, partners, etc.
This workshop will help future leaders refine their own sales skills,
and understand tactics that salespeople use to attract customers.

and what a business can do to maximize value before the sale process,
as well as how the M&A process works and how to maximize value
during the sale process.
