We
have all become so accustomed to the "next big thing" that the
bloodbath now apparent in the tech world causes us to hope for,
and to await, ITS arrival to save us all.
Hold
on to your horses! What got us into trouble in the first place
was the need to migrate, en masse, to that "next big thing", and
thus to lose perspective. And while many have snickered nervously
with every bulletin of a failure, every news item of a de-listing,
every vitriolic emanation from F***edcompany.com, many have also
assumed that they were not affected by the worst meltdown in recent
memory.
