But a new front has opened up in the fight against terrorism--cyberspace. DOS is a key ingredient of cyber warfare, and computer networks--a vital piece of national infrastructure--are increasingly vulnerable. So, CS3's technology has received new momentum.

The process of moving technologies from the research space into the commercial marketplace is a challenging and intricate task. This Larta University workshop, co-hosted by Caltech, will provide insight on areas of commercialization and technology transfer to enable strategic, successful efforts. Topics include intellectual property and licensing, technology management, and more. Speakers include Joseph Marks (Smart Technology Ventures), Jim Myers (TRW), Ken Pickar (Caltech), David Sands (Akin Gump Technology Ventures), Tom Tsao (U Machines), and Scott Carter (Caltech). The workshop will be held at Caltech in Pasadena, from 8 am-12 noon.
