Nepi Ilgaz
Principal Advisor

Prior to TestCountry, Ilgaz was program director at CONNECT, where she developed and implemented strategic goals and programming for the globally recognized technology and business accelerator. She oversaw CONNECT’s affiliate programs, including those offered in collaboration with the San Diego MIT Enterprise Forum, the NIH Commercialization Program and Entrepreneurial Activities and also served as liaison for the Center for Commercialization of Advanced Technology. Before working with CONNECT, Ilgaz was director of commercialization at the San Diego Regional Technology Alliance, now merged with CONNECT, where she oversaw entrepreneur-related commercialization activities. Prior to the RTA, Ilgaz was a senior business development manager at Alitum, an early stage business accelerator, and was a manager at Deloitte & Touche, where she provided auditing expertise to domestic and international clients, including General Motors, Microsoft and Procter & Gamble.

An active member of the San Diego business community, Ilgaz was a former advisory board chairperson of the Forum For Women Entrepreneur’s San Diego Chapter. She was an advisory board member of Ventureforth at the University of California, San Diego; San Diego State University’s Entrepreneur Society and of SDSU’s Entrepreneurial Network. Ilgaz also served on the board of directors of the American/Turkish Association of San Diego (ATSC). She served as a principal advisor for the NIH Commercialization Program (NIH CAP) and a reviewer for the Emtek Fund and CCAT program in San Diego. In 2004, Ilgaz was a finalist for the Women who Mean Business Awards in San Diego.

Before moving to San Diego, Nepi worked at Deloitte & Touché for several years. There she gained experience in auditing multiple engagements and providing expertise to domestic and international clients. She worked closely with the clients through the client life cycle, from scooping and design of the appropriate consulting engagement, through successful delivery of significant projects across multiple accounts and on-going account management. Her clients included: General Motors, Microsoft, and P&G.
