Michael Salgaller, Ph.D.
Principal Advisor

Dr. Salgaller has over 20 years scientific and business experience in therapeutics. Before joining Toucan, Dr. Salgaller held senior management positions in biotechnology, and oversaw translational and clinical projects. He has consulted for various bio-pharma companies and disease foundations. He began his career in experimental therapeutics as a Senior Staff Scientist at the National Institutes of Health.

Dr. Salgaller received his PhD in Pathology from The Ohio State University, and was awarded a Biotechnology Fellowship at the National Cancer Institute. He is an author on over 60 articles and book chapters, and has served on the editorial boards of several journals. He was elected to the Sigma Xi research honorary, as well as the Pi Delta Epsilon journalism honorary.
