Jerry Ruddle

Jerry Ruddle is a senior executive with proven strength in business development, sales, marketing, operations, and venture finance in the high-technology sector. An industry leader in the biometric identification and authentication security technology markets, he also has expertise in government relations, industrial security, identity management, technology transfer and healthcare/medical technology. Operationally Jerry is an experienced serial entrepreneur as well as Fortune 100 executive and has built and led global sales and distribution partner teams with a history of quality execution and results.

To his engagements, Mr. Ruddle brings a wealth of business-building experience across the business development cycle – from early to late-stage technology ventures, to mergers, acquisitions and strategic sale. His corporate experience includes executive management in both large public and small private technology companies, with an excellent board and investor-relations track record.

Mr. Ruddle served as SVP and VP Global Sales and Marketing at IRIDIAN TECHNOLOGIES, INC., the leading GE Equity, Perseus, and Walden Capital venture-backed iris biometrics firm. He led Iridian’s commercial success and was instrumental in its successful strategic sale in August 2006. Jerry was responsible for providing leadership for corporate strategy, marketing, sales, distribution and business development. He established a strong software licensing and distribution partnering program with premier global and regional systems solution partners, who together with Iridian deployed many successful programs serving customers around the world today. Notable among these are the DHS/TSA Registered Traveler, Canada’s NEXUS AIR, UK’s Project IRIS, UAE’s National Expellee program, Jordan’s National Biometric Enterprise System, and the United Nation’s Refugee Repatriation Programs. Domestically, Jerry has developed strong relationships with the senior officials shaping homeland security policy, including leaders in the Departments of State, Defense, and Homeland Security and a number of intelligence agencies. His US Government work has included leading successful issue campaigns on Capitol Hill in effort to appropriately shape public policy. Fostering market education with participation in industry, government, national and international speaking events, Mr. Ruddle has helped drive market understanding and acceptance of biometrics.

Prior to Iridian, Mr. Ruddle served as President and COO of GRAPHCO TECHNOLOGIES, INC., a recognized technology startup, overseeing product development, launch, marketing, sales and successful deployment of new products that included voice and facial biometrics integrated with secure data-sharing solutions for law enforcement and intelligence markets. Prior to that, he developed a successful senior management career with HEWLETT PACKARD COMPANY in its MEDICAL PRODUCTS GROUP, in which he had marketing, sales and distribution responsibility for various medical device, software, and consumables businesses. Jerry's background also includes experience in biomedical engineering, technology transfer, quality and program management with entities such as the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the Environmental Protection Agency, Baxter Travenol Laboratories, and the Research Triangle Institute.

Mr. Ruddle earned his B.S.E. in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University, and his MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at UNC-Chapel Hill.
