Graphic Design Internship
Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated design intern to contribute their creative
voice and design sensibilities to our small, dynamic team. We work in an exciting,
fast-paced, start-up environment that can sometimes tend towards the eccentric.
We seek a designer who is excited about entrepreneurship and innovation, and is
looking to be a part of an organization in the process of taking its branding and
marketing to the next level. As our in-house creative expert, you must be ready
to jump in on anything and everything marketing and design-related. Candidates are
required to commit to a minimum of 4 months to the internship, and at least 20 hours
per week.
Applicants available to start immediately will be given preference.
Responsibilities
- Provide design support to the External Relations, Business Development and Programs
teams
- Produce artwork and provide creative input for marketing collateral such as the
company annual report, brochures/flyers, event signs and email blasts
- Provide design solutions for the company website, blog, e-newsletter among other
online channels
About You
- Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite 4
- Ability to present content in a visually appealing manner
- Strong sense of visual design concepts, e.g. color theory, typography, positive/negative
space, etc.
- Have a clear understanding of branding and the ability to design with a consistent
look and feel
- A quick learner, able to work independently and open to working on a diverse set
of projects
- A visual thinker with strong attention to detail
Hourly pay range: $12.00 per hour depending on education, experience and skillset.

Programs Intern
Job Description
Larta Institute is seeking a highly-motivated self-starter with exceptional multi-tasking
and writing skills and interest in working in an entrepreneurial environment. This
internship is a great opportunity to get your feet wet in the intersection of innovation
and entrepreneurship. As Larta continues to expand its reach globally, we’re looking
for key support and forward thinking. Candidates’ majors and interests should align
with our organizational mission and culture to ensure a good fit for the internship.
The programs intern must possess the ability to efficiently manage their time and
be extremely detail oriented. Excellent analytical, verbal/written communication
and interpersonal skills are necessary to be successful at this position. The intern
will support Larta’s Programs team in the following ways:
- Create PowerPoint presentations and marketing materials,
- Communicate with high-level members within Larta's networks (e.g. mentors, grantees,
clients, industry) as well as the Larta executive management team,
- Think strategically about every task assigned, and possible ways to improve efficiency,
- Organize various events, meetings, and conferences; and
- Assist with programs execution, as needed.
In addition to excellent written and verbal communication skills, we are looking
for applicants that are interested in, quick to learn, and, ideally, already familiar
with vocabulary, concepts, and theories of innovation, entrepreneurship and international
development. Solid knowledge of Microsoft applications is essential. Work-study
students are preferred and encouraged to apply.
