    Greg Horowitt is also Executive Director of Global CONNECT. Greg Horowitt is leading the development of a portfolio of expertise linking regional networks and enterprises to global markets and customer channels.

    Under Greg's leadership, he has built networks that foster enterprise development in England, Scotland, Sweden, Norway, Germany, France, South Korea, China, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the United States, and Mexico.

    Greg's public speaking engagements include talks on San Diego's innovation and technology strengths, and growing sustainable technology and life sciences businesses. In addition, he is a much sought after consultant and lecturer on global technology commercialization and capital formation / access issues. He routinely sits on panels at global and regional technology forums discussing assessment of regional innovation capacity, building technology and biotechnology clusters, and the benefits of collaborating with international partners.

    Greg moved down from the Bay Area in 2001, where he served as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence for a leading Silicon Valley venture capital firm. Prior to that, he was president and CEO of The Praetorian Group, a venture backed enterprise software company providing e-business solutions to law enforcement and public safety agencies across the country. For nearly 20 years before that, he was with Flying Cross by Fechheimer Uniforms, a Berkshire Hathaway company, where he finished his tenure as vice president of regional sales. He remains a principal at the consulting and sales management services firm Gregory Scott Associates of Alamo, Calif., and sits on the boards of a number of technology companies, both in Southern California and in Silicon Valley.

    Greg holds bachelor's degrees in biochemistry and economics, with a minor in music performance, from UCSD.
