Maria Contreras-Sweet is an American businesswoman, civic leader, and entrepreneur who is committed to scaling businesses and advancing innovation. She has served in President Obama’s Cabinet as the head of U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) overseeing the world’s largest seed fund and middle market fund of funds, and a $120 billion loan portfolio. Contreras-Sweet founded ProAmerica Bank, a publicly-traded bank, served as California Cabinet Secretary of the Business, Transportation and Housing Agency, was an equity partner at the 7-Up/RC Bottling Company and served as a Founding Director of the California Endowment.
