The 2008 Life Sciences Venture Forum |
Following a 14-year tradition of improvement and innovation, Larta Institute is proud to say that this was the best Venture Forum ever! Dedicating the event solely to the life science industry significantly increased the number of productive meetings amongst the Forum's attendees.
|
The unprecedented quality technologies brought by the entrepreneurs were met with great enthusiasm. Investors and industry leaders left few seats empty in the meeting and presentation rooms. Back-to-back meetings and company presentations were only interrupted by four provocative panels and three astonishing keynote speeches (and German Chocolate Cake). |

"The 2008 Life Sciences Venture forum was one of the best insider life science events I've attended," said Gina Smith, an award-winning journalist and author of "The Genomics Age". "Walking around, there was a distinct sense that this is where it's happening -- this is the event you must hit if you have only a few you can attend."
Private
industry has a critical role to play in the effort to improve health in developing
countries. The 2008 Venture Forum underscored the importance of the scientific
and business communities working together to develop innovative global health
solutions. Boris Nikolic, Senior Program Officer, Bill & Melinda
Gates Foundation
The Venture Forum was extremely well organized; the sessions were great and venue wonderful. I was very proud to have P&G Healthcare be a sponsor and be associated with such a quality and important meeting for the VC/Biotech community an excellently orchestrated event. Bruce Halpryn, Sr. Director, New Business Development & Global Leader, Technical Due Dillegence, P&G Healthcare
"I value the opportunity
to regularly attend the LARTA Venture Forum. I find the opportunity to meet
with attending companies particularly one-on-one during the partnering sessions
to be a valuable experience. The forum provides a unique venue for many emerging
companies that you dont get the opportunity to meet elsewhere."
Don Madren, Pfizer
"The Venture Forum
provided an exceptional opportunity for our company to prepare, refine and
present our business case to a wide range of industry participants and investors.
Most small companies lack comparable opportunities and eHuman was fortunate
to participate in this event and, importantly, the rich business development
and preparation processes that led up to the Forum itself." - Bob
Austrian, eHuman, "Best of Show" presenting company, NIH-CAP participant
